Recovering Vitality, Joy and Balance in Daily Life
We can be so caught up with the constant demands of our speedy 24/7 lifestyle that we are rarely present in our own bodies and lives. We may feel rushed, fragmented and overwhelmed from the sheer pace of life and the tyranny of our “to do” list. We forget to listen to what are our bodies are telling us and neglect the activities that we love and bring us joy.
Beneath the surface of our lives lies a deeper sense of self that is a powerful source of healing, harmony and wisdom.
Stress to Serenity is a 7-week supportive and empowering group program for women. You’ll experience practical tools to CONNECT with a DEEPER, SACRED SENSE OF SELF and RECOVER the WHOLESOME QUALITIES that enable you to live with greater ease and less stress. You’ll learn to approach life’s challenges with more joy, vitality and resilience.
During the program we will explore and work with the following practices and skills:
- Slowing down and ‘centering’ in a deeper sense of self
- Creating healthy boundaries for time alone and self-care
- Developing mindful awareness and full body presence
- Taking in the good to recover the qualities of vitality, joy and balance
- Witnessing uncomfortable feelings and responding with self-kindness
- ‘Lightening up’ on your self-expectations
- Dealing with resistance and conditioned patterns with greater ease
Our journey together includes an innovative mix of exploratory movement, formal and informal mindfulness practices, guided imagery, drawing and journaling, self-inquiry exercises and discussion. In between sessions, there are simple home practices to ground your learning and insight in daily life.
Each person is encouraged to work at their own pace and do what they can during the program. Previous participants have spent anywhere from 10-60 minutes each day with the practices – it is up to you how much time and effort you devote to the program. If you have to miss a session, you’ll be provided with all the relevant material and support you need to set you up for the week.
